S.T.O.P. Members Promote Red Ribbon Week

11/2/2016

Churchill County High School S.T.O.P. (Students Taking On Prevention) Organization promoted Red Ribbon Week October 24-28th.

As a part of their yearly outreach, Red Ribbon week has a special place with our S.T.O.P. Youth as they go around to the different schools and Promote substance free lives. To be in the STOP program, each student must sign a pledge/contract  to be substance free. In doing so they qualify for Scholarships, letters of recommendation and excellent bragging rights on college applications.  They travel around to the schools and teach young students the effects Drugs, Alcohol and Tobacco have on their brains and bodies.

Each year at red Ribbon week the High School and Middle School STOP Youth help encourage other youth in their school to take the pledge!
